Flash Fiction Wins "Writing For a Change" Competition

08/04/2020

Well, amidst the instability of 2020, I have one small piece of nice news to share.

I recently learned that my short story ‘Tended’ has been chosen as one of the winners of the Irish Writers Centre’s Writing for a Change: Flash Fiction Competition. I am still in shock, and so very very humbled and grateful.

The four stories will be published later this year in Channel Magazine, which is, as their website says, ‘Ireland’s new environmentalist literary magazine, publishing poetry and prose that fosters connection with the natural world.‘

Thank you so much IWC, the National Botanic Gardens, and Channel for this honour!
